The DCA Think Tank: Where Insight Meets Impact

We strive for a human approach to research, bridging the gap between rigorous academic inquiry and the fast-paced reality of the modern workplace. We don't just collect data; we translate it into actionable strategies that protect your people and future-proof your organisation.

Our Projects

The DCA Think Tank operates at the intersection of psychology, sociology, and business strategy. Our current projects investigate the friction points where modern work meets human limits.

A woman with wavy dark hair sits on a beige cushioned bench against a wall with vertical wooden slats, with a shadow cast on the wall behind her. She is wearing a sleeveless beige top and loose brown pants, with her right hand resting on the bench and her left hand on her lap. She looks contemplative and the room has warm lighting.

Burnout

Burnout is one of the biggest threats facing the modern workplace. It doesn’t matter what industry you're in, your company size, or where in the world you’re based — the burnout factor is hitting employees and organisations hard.

At the DCA Think Tank, we aren't just looking at why everyone is so exhausted; we’re focused on how to actually solve it. By looking at the systemic causes, we’ve helped organisations move the needle by seeing real decreases in burnout and genuine increases in both happiness and productivity.

Leadership in Politics

We know that the art of leadership is messy. Leadership in politics? That’s something else entirely. Navigating the constant tension between power, public perception, and trying to deliver real-world impact is incredibly challenging.

At DCA, we’re aiming to bridge the gap between political theory and the psychological reality of the job. We want to foster a new generation of resilient, honest, and empathetic public servants who are driven to make a difference without losing themselves in the process.

Toxic Leadership

Raise your hand if you’ve ever had a boss or manager who gave you that "ick" feeling. We’ve all been there—bad bosses and toxic cultures exist in almost every corner of the working world. But what we’ve found is that most leaders don’t actually set out to be toxic.

At DCA, we’re interested in the "Leader of Leaders." We’re researching how organisations can better support those in senior roles to ensure they have the tools to create healthy, high-trust environments for the leaders of tomorrow.

The DCA Methodology: Bridging the Gap

Evidence-Based: We lean on the latest behavioural science and organisational psychology.

Human-Centric: We prioritise qualitative lived experiences alongside quantitative metrics.

Actionable: Every white paper, survey, and study we produce is designed to be implemented on Monday morning.
